The Calgary Flames secured their third consecutive victory with a 5-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Sunday night. Dustin Wolf made 28 saves while Rasmus Andersson recorded three assists in the road victory.

Morgan Frost, Connor Zary, Kevin Bahl, Yegor Sharangovich and Blake Coleman all found the net for Calgary in the second game of a back-to-back set. Coleman also contributed an assist, while Mikael Backlund added two helpers.

The Flames are building momentum after Saturday night’s 3-2 shootout victory over Dallas at home.

That win lifted Calgary out of the NHL cellar. At 8-13-3, the Flames now have 19 points — three more than last-place Nashville, though Calgary has played three more games.

Filip Hronek and Quinn Hughes scored for Vancouver. Kevin Lankinen stopped 16 shots in the loss.

The Canucks have now lost six of their last seven games.

Hronek opened the scoring just 1:05 into the first period. Frost answered back with a tip-in goal at 7:33, and Zary gave Calgary the lead at 8:08 of the opening frame.

Bahl and Sharangovich extended the Flames’ advantage with second-period goals.

The third period featured special teams action when Jonathan Huberdeau was called for hooking Elias Pettersson. Coleman scored short-handed during the penalty kill, but Hughes responded with a power-play goal for Vancouver.
