The Calgary Flames signed restricted free agent forward Morgan Frost to a two-year contract extension worth $4.375 million annually, the team announced Thursday.
Calgary acquired the 26-year-old center from the Philadelphia Flyers during this past season. Frost recorded 12 points in 32 games after joining the Flames.
The Flyers selected Frost 27th overall in the 2017 NHL Draft.
Over his seven-year NHL career, Frost has accumulated 147 points in 310 games. He’ll become an unrestricted free agent when this new contract expires following the 2025-26 season.
The signing continues Calgary’s busy offseason of locking up restricted free agents. The Flames previously re-signed forwards Matt Coronato and defenseman Kevin Bahl to new deals.
Calgary maintains approximately $15.4 million in salary cap space, according to PuckPedia.
Connor Zary remains the team’s most significant unsigned restricted free agent. The 23-year-old forward recorded 34 points in 82 games during his first full NHL season and represents the Flames’ top remaining contract priority.
