The Minnesota Wild acquired winger Justin Brazeau from the Boston Bruins for forwards Jakub Lauko and Marat Khusnutdinov and a sixth-round pick in 2026, the teams announced.

Brazeau, who stands 6-foot-6, carries a $775,000 cap hit and will become an unrestricted free agent this summer. He has recorded 10 goals and 10 assists across 57 games in his first full NHL campaign.

Both Lauko and Khusnutdinov are pending restricted free agents.

The Bruins originally traded Lauko to the Wild last June. Boston drafted him in the third round in 2018, and he made 83 appearances with the club from 2022-2024.

The 24-year-old Lauko has recorded six points in 36 games this season.

Khusnutdinov, 22, has registered seven points in 57 games during the current campaign. The Wild selected him in the second round of the 2020 draft, and he made his NHL debut in 2023-24 after spending four years in the KHL.

The Wild currently occupy the third spot in the Central Division, sitting just two points ahead of the Colorado Avalanche.

Boston finds itself three points back of a wild-card seed in the Eastern Conference and could miss the playoffs for the first time since the 2015-16 season.
