The Dallas Stars activated forward Roope Hintz for Game 4 against the Edmonton Oilers after he missed one game with a lower-body injury.
Hintz suffered the injury when Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse slashed him during the third period of Game 2. He participated in warmups before Game 3 but couldn’t play in the Stars’ 6-1 loss.
Officials initially called Nurse for a five-minute major penalty on the play. The call was reduced to a two-minute minor after video review.
Nurse didn’t receive any supplemental discipline from the league.
The Stars recalled Evgenii Dadonov from the lineup to make room for Hintz’s return. Dadonov had appeared in every playoff game this season before Tuesday, posting one goal and four points.
Hintz enters Game 4 with five goals and 11 points in 15 playoff games. He finished the regular season with 28 goals and 67 points in 76 contests.
Dallas trails Edmonton 2-1 in the series.
