The Dallas Stars activated forward Tyler Seguin off long-term injured reserve Wednesday, allowing him to return for the team’s regular-season finale against the Nashville Predators.

Seguin had been sidelined for 58 games after undergoing hip surgery in December. He last played on Dec. 1.

The 33-year-old veteran collected nine goals and 11 assists in 19 games before the injury.

His return provides Dallas with another weapon in what’s already one of the NHL’s deepest forward groups heading into the postseason.

Seguin has performed well historically against the Stars’ first-round playoff opponent, recording 49 points in 42 career games against the Colorado Avalanche.
