Buffalo Sabres captain Rasmus Dahlin received a five-minute major penalty and game misconduct for boarding Philadelphia Flyers forward Trevor Zegras during Wednesday’s game.

The hit triggered an immediate scrum between players from both teams.

Here’s another look at the initial play.

Zegras went down on the ice but stayed in the game after the hit.

The 24-year-old forward is having an outstanding first season with Philadelphia. He’s leading the Flyers with 26 points in 26 games since joining the team.

Dahlin has a clean disciplinary record through eight NHL seasons. The Swedish defenseman has never been suspended during his career.
