Teams around the NHL have called the St. Louis Blues about goaltender Joel Hofer’s potential availability, according to Daily Faceoff’s Frank Seravalli.

The Blues aren’t actively shopping Hofer. But they’ve told interested clubs they’re open to receiving offers, Seravalli added.

Hofer has been Jordan Binnington’s backup since the 2023-24 season started.

He’s started 55 games over the past two seasons. His record stands at 31-20-4 with a .909 save percentage and 10.82 goals saved above expected, according to Evolving-Hockey.

The 24-year-old is a pending restricted free agent under team control through 2028.

AFP Analytics projects Hofer will earn $2.8 million annually on a two-year deal. The Blues have $5 million in cap space this offseason.

Hofer could draw significant interest on the trade market. The unrestricted free agent goalie class is thin this summer.

Veteran Jake Allen headlines a group that includes Alexandar Georgiev, Ilya Samsonov, Alex Lyon, and Vitek Vanecek.

The Edmonton Oilers, Philadelphia Flyers, and Columbus Blue Jackets are among clubs that could be in the goalie market this summer.
