The New Jersey Devils announced that forward Ondrej Palat and defenseman Dougie Hamilton both recorded their 500th career NHL point on the same goal Sunday against the Nashville Predators.
The milestone came when Palat converted on a rebound from Hamilton’s point shot, with Luke Hughes providing the primary assist.
Palat reached the 500-point mark in 805 career games.
Hamilton needed 830 contests to achieve the same milestone.
The unusual occurrence marked a bright spot for the Devils, who have both veterans under contract for multiple seasons.
