The NHL fined Edmonton Oilers defenseman Jake Walman $10,000 for two separate incidents during Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final, the league announced Tuesday.
Walman received a $5,000 fine for punching Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk in the third period Monday.
The defenseman was hit with an additional $5,000 fine for spraying water at the Panthers’ bench during the second period. He got a two-minute minor penalty for each incident.

“I obviously did that for a reason. It’s just gamesmanship, I guess.”
Walman defended his actions when speaking to reporters after the game, according to TSN.
Edmonton racked up 85 penalty minutes in Game 3. That’s the second-most by one team in Stanley Cup Final history.
Both teams combined for over 120 penalty minutes in the third period alone. A massive brawl broke out halfway through the frame.
Game 4 is Thursday. The Panthers can take a 3-1 series lead with a win.
