The Utah Mammoth avoided arbitration with restricted free agent center Jack McBain on Monday. The team announced a five-year deal worth $4.25 million against the salary cap.
McBain posted career highs last season with 13 goals and 27 points across 82 games.
The 6-foot-4 forward led Utah with 291 hits. He’s expected to center the third line next season.

The 25-year-old has 35 goals and 47 assists in 241 career NHL games. Minnesota selected him 63rd overall in the 2018 draft.
Arizona acquired McBain in a trade with the Wild in 2022. The Coyotes relocated to Utah before this this season.
