The Pittsburgh Penguins announced that captain Sidney Crosby reached another historic milestone Saturday against the Seattle Kraken, becoming the sixth player in NHL history to record 500 multi-point games.
Crosby scored in the first period and assisted on Evgeni Malkin’s power-play goal to achieve the feat.

The milestone puts Crosby among hockey’s greatest offensive players:
| Rank | Player | GP | Multi-point games |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Wayne Gretzky | 1487 | 824 |
| 2 | Jaromir Jagr | 1733 | 540 |
| 3 | Marcel Dionne | 1348 | 513 |
| 4 | Mark Messier | 1756 | 513 |
| 5 | Gordie Howe | 1767 | 511 |
| 6 | Sidney Crosby | 1373 | 500 |
According to Penguins PR, Crosby’s recorded more multi-point games than pointless games (402) throughout his career.
The 38-year-old reached 1,700 career points earlier this season, becoming only the ninth player to hit that mark.
Crosby’s producing 23 points in 21 games to start his 21st NHL season.
