The Montreal Canadiens announced defenseman Kaiden Guhle will undergo further evaluation after suffering a lower-body injury against the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday.
Guhle lost his edge and collided with the boards during the third period of Montreal’s 4-1 loss to Winnipeg. He skated off the ice on his own despite appearing to favor his right leg.

The 23-year-old defenseman missed games earlier this season with an upper-body injury.
Guhle has recorded 14 points through 43 games this season while averaging 21:18 of ice time, third-highest on the Canadiens.
The Canadiens signed Guhle to a six-year, $33.3-million contract extension ($5.55 million AAV) during the offseason.
