Utah’s NHL expansion team revealed potential logo designs for three team names during fan voting at the Delta Center.
The designs for Utah Hockey Club, Utah Mammoth, and Utah Outlaws were first shared by X user Zachawoolly and later confirmed by Daily Faceoff’s Frank Seravalli.
Fans are voting on their preferred name and logo combination at home games. The Utah Wasatch was initially among the finalists but was replaced by Outlaws after early survey results.

EA Sports NHL’s social media team noted the designs’ similarity to their video game’s create-a-team options.
The organization started with more than 520,000 online votes to select six finalists:
- Utah Blizzard
- Utah Hockey Club
- Utah Mammoth
- Utah Outlaws
- Utah Venom
- Utah Yeti
Utah Yeti emerged as an early favorite but was eliminated after failed trademark negotiations with YETI, the Texas-based drinkware company.
Smith Entertainment Group executive Mike Maughan hasn’t confirmed if this round of voting will finalize the decision.
The team will announce its official name and logo before the 2025-26 NHL season.
The final in-arena voting session takes place Tuesday when Utah hosts the Philadelphia Flyers.
