The Dallas Stars advanced to the Western Conference Final after defeating the Winnipeg Jets 2-1 in overtime in Game 6 on Saturday.

Thomas Harley scored the game-winning goal 1:33 into overtime, sending the Stars to their third consecutive Western Conference Final appearance.

Dallas will now face the Edmonton Oilers in a rematch of last year’s Western Conference Final, which the Oilers won in six games.

Mark Scheifele opened the scoring for Winnipeg 5:28 into the second period on a delayed penalty. Scheifele played just hours after the death of his father.

Sam Steel tied the game for Dallas less than six minutes later, firing a shot off the crossbar and in after a rebound from Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck.

The game-winning goal came on the power play after Scheifele was called for tripping Steel with just 15 seconds remaining in regulation.

Stars goaltender Jake Oettinger stopped 22 of 23 shots in the victory.

He made a crucial save on Mason Appleton during the third period to keep the score tied.

The Jets, who won the Presidents’ Trophy as the NHL’s best regular-season team, finished the 2025 playoffs with an 0-6 road record. Winnipeg has now lost 10 consecutive road playoff games dating back to 2023.
