Dallas Stars head coach Glen Gulutzan announced that forward Tyler Seguin is expected to miss the remainder of the season after sustaining an ACL injury in Tuesday’s loss to the New York Rangers, according to Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News.
Seguin was helped off the ice after Rangers defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov fell on him during the game.

The 33-year-old had recorded 17 points in 27 games before the injury struck.
Seguin has dealt with multiple long-term injuries in recent seasons. He was limited to just 20 games last season while recovering from hip surgery. He made only three appearances during the shortened 2020-21 campaign.
Seguin’s in the seventh season of an eight-year contract that carries a $9.85-million cap hit.
He ranks fifth in franchise history with 311 goals and 705 points across 813 appearances with Dallas.
The Stars are still awaiting word on whether Seguin could recover in time for the playoffs but aren’t optimistic, Assimakopoulos adds.
Dallas enters Wednesday’s contest against the New Jersey Devils sitting second in the NHL standings at 17-5-5.
