According to TSN’s Pierre LeBrun, the Montreal Canadiens have expressed interest in acquiring Jordan Kyrou from the St. Louis Blues.

Multiple teams have inquired about the winger ahead of his no-movement clause taking effect July 1.

Kyrou carries five years remaining on his contract with an $8.125-million cap hit. The 26-year-old recorded 36 goals and 70 points this past season.

The Blues selected Kyrou 35th overall in the 2016 NHL Draft.

Montreal completed a blockbuster trade Friday when they acquired defenseman Noah Dobson from the New York Islanders. The Canadiens sent two first-round picks and Emil Heineman to New York in the deal.

The Canadiens are coming off their first playoff appearance since 2021.

Management is actively seeking a top-six winger to complement their forward group. Kyrou’s combination of speed and offensive production fits the profile Montreal is targeting as they look to build on last season’s success.

The timing creates urgency for any potential deal involving Kyrou. Once his no-movement clause activates, the Blues winger would hold significant control over any future trades.
