“Not good,” Jets head coach Scott Arniel said about Morrissey’s injury during his postgame comments.
The 30-year-old blueliner led all Jets defensemen with 62 points during the regular season.
Morrissey also led the team in average ice time at 24:23 per game.
He recorded six assists through 12 playoff games this postseason.
Morrissey has finished in the top seven in Norris Trophy voting in each of the past two seasons.
