Matt Boldy added his 36th goal for Minnesota. Gustavsson stopped all 25 shots he faced.

Bobby Brink scored his first goal since the Wild acquired him from Philadelphia on Friday. The Minnesota native put his new team up 3-0 early in the third period.

Danila Yurov and Ryan Hartman also found the net in the third.

Utah’s Karel Vejmelka made 25 saves in the loss.

Quinn Hughes extended his point streak with an assist. He’s recorded one goal and five assists in his last five games.

Utah thought they had opened the scoring when Kailer Yamamoto found the back of the net. Officials waved it off for goalie interference after Barrett Hayton’s stick hit Gustavsson in the helmet.

Minnesota failed to capitalize on a 5-on-3 power play opportunity.

Kaprizov’s goal came with 5:50 remaining in the opening period. His shot went wide of the net and bounced off the end boards. While falling forward, he fired from one knee to give the Wild a 1-0 lead.
