The Philadelphia Flyers announced Thursday they’ve re-signed pending restricted free agent forward Tyson Foerster to a two-year contract worth $3.75 million per season.

Foerster will become a restricted free agent again when the deal expires.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound winger just completed a breakout campaign. He scored 25 goals and added 18 assists in 81 games this past season.

That’s a significant jump from his rookie year in 2023-24 when Foerster tallied 20 goals and 13 assists.

Foerster has proven he’s more than just an offensive contributor. Over the past two seasons, he’s ranked second on the team in defensive goals above replacement, trailing only Garnet Hathaway, according to Evolving-Hockey.

His strong play earned him a spot on Canada’s roster at the 2025 World Championship.

Foerster contributed two goals and one assist in seven games at the tournament.

The Flyers selected Foerster with the 23rd overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft.

Philadelphia still has three restricted free agents to sign: Noah Cates, Jakob Pelletier, and Cam York.
