The Calgary Flames signed forward Martin Pospisil to a three-year contract extension with a $2.5 million average annual value, the team announced Wednesday.
Pospisil was set to become a restricted free agent in 2026. His extension buys out two years of unrestricted free agency.
The 25-year-old recorded 25 points in 81 games last season. He primarily played a bottom-six role with the Flames, spending time at both wing and center.
His 301 hits tied for third among all NHL skaters.
Pospisil notched 24 points in 60 games as a rookie in 2023-24.

The Flames drafted the 6-foot-2 Slovakian forward in the fourth round in 2018.
Calgary continues to lock up young talent as they rebuild their roster. Pospisil’s physical style and versatility make him a valuable depth piece for the organization moving forward.
