The Chicago Blackhawks snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 7-4 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday at the United Center.
Ryan Donato scored twice for Chicago, pushing his season total to a career-high 25 goals. Connor Bedard added a goal and an assist in the win.
Bedard’s wrist shot with 1:48 remaining in the first period marked his 20th goal of the season, tying the game 3-3 after Philadelphia had erased Chicago’s early 2-1 lead on goals by Travis Sanheim and Bobby Brink.
The Blackhawks pulled away in the second period.
Tyler Bertuzzi and Donato scored from the slot in the first seven minutes of the middle frame to give Chicago a two-goal advantage. The Blackhawks outscored the Flyers 4-1 over the final 40 minutes.
Jamie Drysdale and Travis Konecny each recorded a goal and an assist for Philadelphia.
Chicago goaltender Spencer Knight made 24 saves to end his personal four-game losing streak.
The seven goals marked a season high for the Blackhawks, who had previously scored six goals three times this season. Chicago hadn’t scored more than two goals in any game during their recent skid.
Flyers goaltender Ivan Fedotov, who was pulled after allowing two goals on his first three shots Saturday in Dallas, finished with 22 saves.
The loss extended Philadelphia’s winless streak to five games (0-4-1). The Flyers have now allowed seven goals four times this season and are 1-9-1 in their last 11 games.
The Flyers conclude their road trip Tuesday in Toronto, while the Blackhawks host New Jersey on Wednesday.
