Drake Batherson scored twice to lead the Ottawa Senators to a 7-4 victory over the San Jose Sharks on Sunday.

The game turned when Batherson netted the go-ahead goal with 6:52 remaining in regulation. An Artem Zub shot bounced off Batherson as he turned to protect himself, breaking a 4-4 tie.

Warren Foegele, Fabian Zetterlund, Tyler Kleven and Dylan Cozens also found the net for Ottawa (34-23-9). Brady Tkachuk sealed the win with an empty-net goal.

Linus Ullmark made his third consecutive start for the Senators. He stopped 19 shots after recording a 23-save shutout against Anaheim in his previous outing.

Mario Ferraro, Tyler Toffoli, Collin Graf and Michael Misa scored for San Jose (32-27-6).

Laurent Brossoit made 17 saves in his first NHL start since April 18, 2024.

Both teams were playing the second game of back-to-back sets, which showed at times during the contest.

Macklin Celebrini reached 60 assists in just 65 games. That’s the fewest games needed by a Sharks player to hit that mark since Erik Karlsson did it in 63 games during the 2022-23 season.

Ottawa’s power play went 2-for-3 with the man advantage. The unit had struggled in recent games.
